Double Entry Project |
|
|
|
 |
Installation Type
Double doors at the homes main entry are framed in
aged oak with a brick surround and will require a jamb face installation
with limited clearance from the main doors handle sets
.
Color matching the aged oak moldings to create the required blind stops
for the installation is not an option, and switching to z-bar hinges and
cap extrusions will not adapt easily to the custom brick surround.
Opting for the Designer series color match alloy stop kit eliminates the
problem by tying the finish to the doors rather than the mill work.
Designer Series alloy stop kits can be pre-fabricated to accommodate
many installation types. |

Step 1) Preparing the
opening
Installation starts by first installing a custom
Color Matched Alloy Blind Stop Kit custom
made for the opening and powder coated to match the Designer Series
doors. |

Step 2) Hanging The Doors
Hinge installation requires an off set alignment
with the blind stop to insure that the doors do not
bind between the stop and the hinge when closed. |

Step 4) Setting The Lock
Installation of the Designer Series entry hardware
requires focus when drilling for the 6 hole installation. There is no
room for error when 2 of the 6 holes are 7/8" each. A specialized step
by step method developed specifically to limit the likelihood of errors
is based on transfer dimensions insuring a trouble free hardware
installation. |
